POTTS CAMP : Frank Matelyn Bennett, 94, died Friday, June 26,1998, at the home of his son in Memphis. He was born Dec. 26,1903, in Ashland to Matelyn Bennett and Effie Brisco Bennett. He was a member of Potts Camp church of Christ and was a timberman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Durham Bennett. Services were at 2 p.m. today at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Chewalla Cemetery in Potts Camp. Survivors include one son, James F. Bennett of Bartlett, Tenn.; one brother, Russell Bennett in Frayser, Tenn.; one sister, Lula Vera Mahan of Horn Lake; one grandson, Jason Bennett. Pallbearers will be Robert Bennett, Jerry Bennett, Gordon Bennett, Phil Mahan, Edward Bennett, Darrell Bennett, Ronnie Bennett, and Doug Mahan. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Potts Camp church of Christ.
