Joseph Martin Stallbaumer, highly respected and well-known resident of the Lillis community, passed away February 22, 1951 at the Onaga Hospital at the age of 57 yrs.

Mr. Stallbaumer was born September 23, 1893, the son of John Martin & Mary Louise Scheier Stallbaumer, at Kelly,KS, where he grew to manhood, coming to Marshall County 31 years ago. He has been an industrious and successful farmer and was well liked by all who knew him. He was a kind husband and father, and an obliging neighbor and friend.

He was married to Mary Boeckman on February 17, 1920, at St. Bede's Catholic Church, Kelly, Ks.

Besides his devoted wife, Mary, he is survived by six children; Robert Stallbaumer of Frankfort; Cletus Stallbaumer, who is in the employ of the Goodyear Rubber Company and located in Africa; Valerian Stallbaumer, Clarence Stallbaumer, Louise Stallbaumer and Carrol Joe Stallbaumer of the home; his mother, Mrs. Louise Stallbaumer, Kelly; and a number of other relatives, who have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

Funeral services were February 25, 1951 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Lillis. Interment in the church cemetery.
