Dryville, Nov 7- Jacob G Scheidt, aged 78 years and 11 days, died this morning at 6:00 at his home here of dropsy. He was ailing for the last 10 months. For many years Mr Scheidt followed his trade as a bricklayer and mason. He was a faithful member of the Mertz Church, this place. Fraternally he was connected with the Oley Castle, No. 119, K.G.E. he was a son of the late Joseph and Catharine (Buskirk) Scheidt. Survivors are his widow, Mary Ann (Brintzeghoff) Scheidt; one daughter, Sallie, wife of Allen Angstadt, this place; seven sons, John, William, Harry, George, Charles, Howard and Walter, all of this place: one brother, Joseph, Pottstown; three sisters, Mrs John Seyler,Pricetown; Mrs Hettie Heinly, Reading; and Mrs Isabella DeLong, Seattle, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral from his residence on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Services at the house. Interment in Dryville Cemetery. Rev William H Kline, of Topton, will officiate.
