Martha Reinders
The funeral for Martha Reinders, 98, Yankton, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fordyce, Neb., with the Rev. Donald Cleary officiating.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitations will be today at the Ray Funeral Chapel and prior to service time at the church. A Christian wake is scheduled 7:30 tonight in Ray Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Reinders was born June 8, 1889(sic), in Hartington, Neb., to Dan and Anna (Becker) Felber, and died Thursday morning (Jan. 16, 1986), at her residence. She grew up on the farm in the Hartington community. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School.
For several years, she worked in the Hartington and Coleridge areas, and then homesteaded in Lusk, Wyo. After her return to Hartington, she married Norbert S. Reinders Feb. 22, 1911, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He was a lumberyard operator and she traveled with him in his work to Masonville, Iowa, and Hubbard, Neb., and later to Fordyce, Neb.
He died in 1969, and in 1971, she moved to Yankton.
She was a member of St. John's Church and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors are a son, Roman Reinders, Yankton; two grandsons, Chuck Reinders, Irving, Texas, and Mike Reinders, Yankton; and two great-grandchildren, Jill and Todd Reinders.
