Daniel Felber Died Yesterday of Asthma
Was An Early Settler
Daniel Felber, one of the earliest and best known settlers of Cedar County, died yesterday morning at 6 o'clock at his home in the city.
The deceased was born in Switzerland, January 20, 1851. He came to the United States at the age of 21 and settled in St. Helena in this county, where he resided and engaged in the business of farming until six years ago when re retired from active business and came to this city. At the age of 28 he was married to Miss Anna Becker, who survives him. To this union were born five children, three of whom are living, Misses Mary and Martha of this city, and Frank P. Felber of Coleridge. The cause of his death was asthma, from which the deceased had been a sufferer for some years. The funeral will be held at the Catholic church Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
