MRS. ANNA FELBER DIES AT HOME HERE
Funeral Services Are Held Today for 88 Year Old County Pioneer

Mrs. Anna Felber, 88-year old Cedar county pioneer, died at her home in Hartington Tuesday afternoon about 3 o'clock from the complications of old age.

Funeral services for Mrs. Felber were held at Holy Trinity Catholic church this morning (Thursday) with Msgr. B. H. Lordemann officiating at the requiem mass. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery under the direction of Reiferts.

Five of Mrs. Felber's grandsons---Leo, Raymond, Norbert and Leonard Felber and Roman Reinders---and a great grandson, Earl Felber, served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Felber, a resident of Cedar county since 1867, is survived by two sons, Frank of Hartington and Thomas, who is with the army in England; three daughters, Mary Felber of Hartington, Mrs. N. S. Reimers of Fordyce and Elizabeth Becker of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lammers of Fordyce and Mrs. Louis Hoesing of Yankton, and four brothers, Peter and John M. Becker of Fordyce, Mike Becker of Yankton, and Henry Becker of St. Helena.

Born at Alsenhausen, Germany, February 14, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Becker, she came to the United States and Cedar county with her parents in 1867. The family located at St. Helena. She was married to Daniel Felber in 1878 and the couple lived near St. Helena several years. Later they homesteaded 8 miles west of Hartington. Mr. Felber died in Hartington in 1910.

Mrs. Felber was a member of the Christian Mothers society of the Catholic church and members of this organization served as honorary pallbearers at the funeral.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
