Mrs. Christena Kern
On Nov. 18, at her home on the town of New Berlin occurred the death of Mrs. Christena Kern, wife of Abraham Kern. She was aged 66 years 6 months and 3 days. Mrs. Kern was born in the town of Waukesha, May 15, 1849 and was married to Mr. Kern in 1869. She is survived by her husband and four sons and four daughters, Mrs. Albert V. Wehren, William Kern, Mrs. F. Thomas, Henry E. Kern, Rose Kern, Carl P. Kern of Waukesha; Louis A. Kern of California and Mrs. Frank Giesie of West Allis, also eleven grandchildren survive her. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the German Reformed church, New Berlin, and interment was in the Reformed church cemetery, located near the church.
