Brigham is the son of William Randall and Mary Sargent Green.

Brigham (Age 18)came with his mother, Mary S., and siblings; Mary E., Benjamin, Flora, and Heber George.

Married Sarah Darling Ross, 4 August 1877, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

"Pioneer Succumbs ~~ B.Y. Randall's Rites Thursday ~~ Funeral services for Brigham Young Randall, 85, who died yesterday at his home, 2298 (So) Eighth East Street, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Miller Ward Chapel, Forty-fifth East on Thirty-third South Street. Bishop Edward J. Solomon of the Miller Ward will officiate. Burial will be in the city Cemetery.

Mr. Randall was one of the Pioneers who made Utah's history so colorful. He was the oldest surviving member of Salt Lake's original volunteer fire department. He also was Utah's first railroad chef, having served for eight years in that capacity on the business car of Superintendent John Sharp of the Utah Central and Utah Southern Railroad out of Salt Lake.

He operated the first baker in Murray in the early 1890's, having resigned from the railroad in 1888. He was forced to discontinue this business when fire wiped out his plant.

Born in Poole, Dorsetshire, Eng., Mary 12, 1854, a son of Church converts, William and Mary Jane Randall. He learned the baking trade in Southhampton, England, and later served as baker on ships of the Royal Mail Steamship Company, which operated between English, West Indies and Brazilian ports.

(Brigham served for many years as a member of the old volunteer fire department in Salt Lake City, Utah.)

Mrs. Sarah D. Ross Randall, his wife, whom he married on Aug. 4, 1877, died many years ago. He is survived by two sons, W. B. Randall; and George Randall; eight daughters, Mrs. C.I. Olsen, Mrs. Louise Thornton, Mrs. William Taylor, Mrs. W.S. Girard, Mrs. John Zackrison, Mrs. Alta Maxwell, Mrs. William Maxwell, all of Salt Lake, and Mrs. A.E. Corless of Paul, Ida.

A sister, Mrs. Flora Hackett, Southhampton, England, also survives."
