She was born Jan. 25, 1863, near Charlesburg, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Puetz, and was married to Peter Meier, Marytown, on July 7, 1885. The couple resided on the Meier homestead northeast of Marytown until 15 years ago when they moved to Charlesburg. Mr. and Mrs. Meier celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1935.
Survivors besides her husband are four sons, Ben, Fond du Lac; Anton and Joseph, Marytown; Richard, who lives east of Charlesburg; three daughters, Mrs. Jacob Steiner (Barbara), Charlesburg; Mrs. Frank Mueller (Mary), Chilton; and Sophia, Fond du Lac; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Meyers, Charlesburg; Mrs. John Weier, Fond du Lac, and Sister M. Liobina, Howells, Neb. There are also 32 grandchildren.
A daughter, Edwina, preceded her in death in 1921 and a son, John, died in infancy.
