New Holstein: Joseph Puetz, 66, prominent Charlesburg citizen, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home at 11 o'clock Friday morning. He had served for 14 years as supervisor of the town of Brothertown; was a director of the New Holstein Peoples State bank from 1930-1934; was a trustee of St. Charles church, and a member of Holy Name society.
He was born July 1, 1873, in Charlesburg son of Mr. and Mrs. John Puetz. He spent his entire life on the homestead. On May 16, 1905, he was married to Mary Muellenbach of Charlesburg at St. Charles church.
Survivors are is widow, three daughters Sister M. Gudelia, Bonnets Mill, Mo., Mrs. Otto Reinl, of Charlesburg, and Mrs. Ernest Daun, of New Holstein; four sons, Edwin, of Kiel; Hugo and Elroy of Charlesburg, and Gilbert, of St. Ann; four sisters, Sister M Liobina, of Hiles, Nev.; Mrs. Peter Meier, and Mrs. John Weier of Fond du Lac. One brother, John, died last July. Sixteen grandchildren also survive him.
Funeral services will be held at St. Charles church Tuesday at 10 o'clock, the Rev. Leon Binder officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
