CHESTE R T O N - Fred Kimmel, 86,
302 South Second street, died Thursday
at Porter Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Porter county
on March 24, 1884, a son of
Charles and Katharina Kimmel.
In Valparaiso on Jan. 23, 1904,
he married Ruby Rand, who
survives.
Also surviving are a son,
Kenneth of Fort Wayne; a
brother, John of East Gary; two
grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
He retired in 1959 from the
C h i c a g o Transit company,
where he was employed as a
general foreman on track
construction.
Services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Monday at the White
Funeral home with the Rev.
Roy Katayama officiating.
Burial will be in Chesterton
Surviving besides his widow
Chesterton cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after 11 a.m. Sunday.
