James C. Payne (should be John C. Payne), age 73, 626 Hall Street, died at his home Thursday of a complication of diseases. He was born and reared in this county, coming to Owensboro originally from West Louisville. He is survived by his wife and several children. The funeral will be held from St. Paul's Catholic Church this morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.
