Adel was born in Hill County, Texas, to the late John and Rosie (Neckar) Mynar. She attended Brooken School in Hill County. On May 14, 1935, she was united in marriage to Emil E. Sembera in West. Adel was a homemaker and farmed with her husband until they retired. She enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, quilting, playing solitaire and watching The Young and the Restless. Adel especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and the RVOS Lodge #46 in Cottonwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 19, 1996; two sons, Emil Sembera Jr. and Lawrence Sembera; a daughter, Irene Sembera; two daughters-in-law, Doris Sembera and Florence Sembera; two sons-in-law, Rudolph Kolar and Harold Sexton; brothers, John Mynar, Felix Mynar, Joe Mynar and Ben Mynar; and sisters, Rosie Bartosh, Annie Ondrej, Lillie DeJong, Martha Hutyra, Hattie Kramer, and Mary Mikuda.
Survivors include son, Alvin Sembera and wife, Dorothy, of West; daughters, Jaroline Kolar, of West, and Mary Ann Sexton, of Abbott; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Mynar; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
