"Dick" was born to George P. and Isabelle (Johnson) Jordan. He married Mellie "Georgia" Lange March 24, 1914 and they had 3 children: Ernie, Thomas and Marilyn.
OBITUARY:
Ronald "Dick" Jordan, 64, R.R. 2, died today January 19 at Mary Greeley Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, from Stevens Memorial Chapel. The REv. Mark Wetteland of the First Christian Church will officiate, with burial in Story Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Stevens. Family will be there from 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established. Gifts may be sent to the home.
Mr. Jordan was born March 24, 1914 in Story County to George P. and Isabelle (Johnson) Jordan. He married Mellis "Georgia" Lange July 4, 1934 in Rockport, Mo. Mr. Jordan was a lifetime Story County resident. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ernie R. of R.R. 2 and Thomas of North Carolina; one daughter, Marilyn Baldus, R.R. 2; two brothers, Harvey of Huxley and Lawrence of Ames; two sisters, Anita Bell of Des Moines and Lois Christianson of Madrid; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by one grandchild.
