Mrs. Eva C. Studer
Fairview-Mrs. Eva C. Studer, 87, Fairview, died Friday, Sept. 21, at her home after she suffered an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Studer had taught school in Rawlins County a year. She and her husband lived in Rawlins County before moving to their farm five miles south and one and one-half miles west of Fairview.

She was born Aug. 7, 1897, at Oneida, the daughter of Hugh and Isabelle Cunningham Rooney. She graduated from Sabetha High School in 1917. The Studers retired about a year ago and moved into Fairview.

Mrs. Studer was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church at Fidelity and the Altar Society of the church. She also was a member of Retired Teachers of Brown County,Brown County Democrat Club and MPM(Monday afternoon)Club.

She was married to Henry Studer Feb. 23, 1924, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Haag, Hiawatha, Mrs. Eileen Haefele, Topeka, and Mrs. Alyce King, De Soto; two sons, Henry Studer Jr., Fairview and Raymond Studer, Council Bluffs, Iowa; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mass o Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Fidelity. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Catholic Cemetery at Fidelity. Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha is in charge of arrangements.
