Mr. Devie, a 16-year resident of Sterling and formerly of Crook, died Friday at Rose Arbor Nursing Home after a year's illness.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony's.
He moved to Crook in 1930 and when he retired from farming came to Sterling in 1943.
Mr. Devie was born January 3, 1878 in Europe to Joseph and Elizabeth Bohn Devie.
He was married to Katherine Dietz on October 12, 1901.
They came to the United States in 1910 and lived in Ohio and Illinois before moving to Crook.
Mr. Devie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ann Kaiser of Sterling, Mrs. Rose Weingardt of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Irene Kippes Of Denver; three sons, John Devie Jr., of Crook, Jack Devie of Las Animas and Alex Devie of Fowler; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He wife preceded him in death in 1966.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Radford Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
