MRS. HERMAN SADOWSKI
Mrs. Herman Sadowski, 62, died in the family residence on rural route six, Decatur, at 6:25 o'clock Saturday morning.
She had been ill for about three years and had been bedfast since September. She fell last Sunday, fracturing her hip. Complications of the fracture and her previous illness caused her death.
She was born in Germany on October 10, 1868 in Germany. She came to Decatur 46 years ago. She was married in Decatur. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Scapanski, Decatur.
She leaves her husband and the following children: Mrs. Anna Sablotny, Mrs. Amelia Wichert, Herman, Albert, Amos, Otto and Oscar Sadowski, all of Decatur. One son, Max Sadowski, died in January, 1924.
She also leaves 15 grandchildren, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Louise Brix and Mrs Marie Gollan, Carl Scapanski. She was a member of St. Johannes Lutheran church.
The body will remain in J. J. Moran & Sons funeral home until 11 o'clock Sunday morning when it will be taken to the home of Mrs. Fred Wichert, 2415 East Eldorado street. Services will be in the residence at 2 o'clock and in St. Johannes church at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.

Note: Her parents were actually Friedrich Szczepanski and Wilhelmine Schweich. Anna was born 10 Oct and baptized 18 Oct 1868 in Leip, Kreis Osterode, East Prussia, which is now Lipowo, Poland.
