She was a small slender person with black hair and black eyes. Mary was named for her mother. Her Father, Peter, and Father Hubert met in Antlers Oklahoma, and became close friends. Peter wrote to his daughters, Mary C. and Anna Josepha, who were working at the hospital in Effingham, Douglas, Effingham, Illinois, USA and told them to join the family in Anthers, Oklahoma. In 1910, while living in Antlers, Oklahoma, Mary and Anna Josepha went to work for Father Hubert.

When Father Hubert was transferred to Okmulgee, Okmulgee, Okahoma, USA, Mary C. went with him.
In 1947, she returned to Dieterich, Illinois, to live in retirement. She moved to St Louis, Missouri, in 1959 and lived there until her death. She never married. Mary C. contributed information for the Hutmacher Hauben Family Genealogy Record.
