Services Held For O. Richard
Funeral rites were held for Oscar Richard 60, in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic church Monday morning at 9:00. The retired farmer was a resident of Crowley and died at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 in a Lafayette hospital. He was -born on April 18, 1899 in Church Point, and had" been a lifelong resident of Acadia parish. Burial services were in the Catholic cemetery in Church Point with the Church Point Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife; Euphemie Savoy; five sons, Bernard Of Sulphur, Philogene of Crowley, Huey of Larose, Roosevelt of Rayne, and Louis Richard of Washington, D.C.; five daughters, Mrs. Clement Menard of Crowley, Mrs. Calvin Sensat of Egan, Mrs. J. L. Lanclos and Miss Wilma Richard of Port Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Junior Leger of Virginia; and 17 grandchildren.
