MACKENZIE
Suddenly on January 13, 1990, Mr. Wesley Raymond Mackenzie of Clearwater, BC passed away at the age of 56 years.
Wes loved hunting, fishing and card playing and he also had an enthusiastic interest in gold mining and gardening. He lived all his life in the Clearwater area, working as a logger and on road construction.
He was married on December 29, 1951 to Doreen Haenschke and they raised five children; Brian (Lorel) of Clearwater, Spencer (Kay) of Edmonton, Janet (Robin) Mann of Clearwater and Trevor of Edmonton. He also leaves to cherish his memory seven grandchildren; Dean, Jeannie, and Amanda, also Brooke, Fred, Cole and Andrew as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his loving parents Ada and Ted Mackenzie of Clearwater and his younger brother Gordon of Nanaimo. He was predeceased by his daughter Denise in 1967, and his elder brother Doug of Barriere in 1972.
Reverend Doug Holtby conducted the funeral service in the Clearwater Evangelical Free Church on Sunday, January 20, 1990 at 1:p.m. Cremation followed.
If friends desire, donations may be made to the North Thompson Unit of BC Heart Foundation, Box 521, Clearwater, BC VOE 1NO in memory of Wes Mackenzie.
