Amelia Ruff
Amelia Ruff, 77, Greeley, died Saturday, Jan. 31, at Centennial Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 1, 1909, to George and Eva E (Foos) Blehm in Fort Collins.
In September 1927, she married Jacob Ruff in Torrington, Wyo.
Mrs. Ruff grew up and received her education in Fort Collins, later moving to Mitchell, Neb., with her family. After her marriage, the couple moved to Windsor where she was a cook for the Windsor schools for seven years. She later worked as a cook for Birch Avenue Manor in Greeley, retiring in 1969 due to her health. Her husband died May 18, 1970. She had been a resident of Centennial Health Care Center since 1978.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and SAM’s at the church.
Survivors are four daughters, Helen Skiles and Wilma Rettele, both of Greeley, Eileen Valdreau of Fontana, Calif., and Eleanor Doucette of Littleton; four sisters, Pauline Kindsfater of Greeley, Helen Gorr of Torrington, Alma Monroe of Fort Collins, and Emma Guettler of Brady, Neb.; a brother, Edwin Blehm of Mitchell; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Lydia and Martha, and three brothers, Herbert, Hubert and Harold, are deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
