Kenneth Lee Dolbeare, age 79, of Shelbina, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at his residence in Shelbina.
He was born May 16, 1930, in New Canton, IL, the son of Harry and Luella Miles Dolbeare. On December 2, 1949, he was united in marriage to Jessie Louise McKee in Pittsfield, IL. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Gary Dolbeare and wife, Barbara, of O'Fallon, IL, David Dolbeare and wife, Cindy, of Shelbina, and Patricia Newcom and husband, Marvin, of Columbia; six grandchildren, Jessica Heuer, Paul Newcom, Matt Dolbeare, Stephanie Dolbeare, Melody Buck and Hallie Dolbeare; two great-grandchildren, Emma Rode and Corbin Heuer; four sisters, Lucy Herman of Pittsfield, IL, Georgia Massey of Yucca Valley, CA, Mary Ellen Shannahan of Baylis, Il and Anna Clark of Kinderhook, IL; and one brother, Raymond Dolbeare of Louisiana, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Mr. Dolbeare was employed as a Manager of the MFA Agri-Coop for over thirty years. He was a member of the Shelbina Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions and antiques, especially old tools. He enjoyed spending time with is family and friends and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Shelbina Christian Church in Shelbina preceding the funeral at 11:00. Bro. Jim Bilbro will officiate. Burial will be in the Shelbina Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Christian Church.
