HERNANDEZ

A rosary will be said Friday at 7 p.m. in West Funeral Home Chapel for Dolores Navarro Hernandez, 79, 713 W. Lea, who died Thursday at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Noel Kramer of San Jose Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Eloy Martinez, Bobby Martinez, Ramon Loya, Ben Franco, Julvero Hernandez and Moises Martinez.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1905, in Mexico, and came to the United States in 1916, living in Redford, Texas. She moved to Carlsbad in 1918. She married Francisco Hernandez in Carlsbad at San Jose Catholic Church. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Francisco; one son, Lucas; one daughter, Marcela; and one sister, Matilda Martinez, all of Carlsbad; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
