Son of my ancestors, GEORGE NATHAN & NANCY MARY (SKINNER) KINNE, he married Sarah Elizabeth Cox on June 5, 1856 at the farm of her grandfather Cox about a mile southwest of Stewartsville, Posey Co., Indiana. She was the father of John L. & Nancy Cox and two of Elizabeth's brothers married two of Reuben's sisters. He was called "Oliver" in family records, Reuben O. in land records, and R.O. or Rev. O.R. Kinne in "The Cox-Kinne Families" book by John E. Cox, 1926. According to this book, he was an ordained minister, a school teacher, and an "inventive genius".
