Mrs. Helene T. Springer, 85, died
at 7:20 p.m. Monday at Valley View
Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at
10 a.m. Thursday at the Zion
Lutheran Church. Interment will be
n Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich
Funeral Home.
She was born July 25,1890, at
Burning, Neb., the daughter of
Gerhardt W. and Sophia Middendorf
Phillippi.
She married Herman D. Springer,
Dec. 16,1915, at Burning. She had
been a Muscatine resident since
1944.
She was a member of the Zion
Lutheran Church, the Women's
Church Group at Zion, and the
Lutheran Homes Sewing Circle.
Survivors include one daughter,
Mrs. Luther (Rose) Meyer,
Gillespie, Ill.; two brothers,
Fred Phillippi, Muscatine, and
Theodore Phillippi, Geneva, Neb.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, two sisters, and
one brother.
