Templeton Woman, 56, Dies in Arizona

TEMPLETON (THNS) -- Mrs. Bernard Lechtenberg, 56, of Templeton, died at 2:15 Sunday morning at Phoenix, Ariz., after a lingering illness. Mr. Lechtenberg and daughter Elaine were there with her. The three had gone to Phoenix a month ago, hoping that the change in climate would prove beneficial to Mrs. Lechtenberg's health.

The body will arrive in Templeton Tuesday afternoon and will be taken to the family home west of town.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 Thursday morning at Sacred Heart church, Templeton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Lechtenberg was born Elizabeth Fangman, daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Fangman, December 8, 1891, at Templeton.

Her marriage to Mr. Lechtenberg took place January 31, 1917 at Sacred Heart church here.

Surviving with her husband are four children, Alois and Mrs. Osward Kisgen (Ruth), Templeton, Daniel and Elaine, at home, and two grandchildren, Sharon and James Kisgen.

Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Henry Fangman, Redwood Falls, Minn.; Joseph and Frank Fangman and Mrs. Clem Langel (Anna), Templeton; Mrs. Henry Kalkhoff (Catherine), Clements, Minn.; Mrs. Edward Kalkhoff (Mary), Mrs. Raymond Woslager (Margaret) and Rose Fangman, Templeton.

Mrs. Lechtenberg was a member of Sacred Heart church, the Christian Mothers sodality of the parish and the Templeton court of Catholic Daughters of America.
