Henry Funke
Henry Funke, 80, a life-long resident of New Vienna, died Saturday morning at 1 o'clock following an illness of five months at the residence in New Vienna.
The body is at the residence, from where the funeral will be held to St. Boniface Church Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Didesch Abeln Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Funke, a farmer, was born at New Vienna Nov. 1, 1861, and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Eleanora) Scherber [sic], New Vienna, and Miss Ann Elizabeth Funke, at home; one son, Xavier Funke, New Vienna; one brother, Joseph Funke, Geddes, S.D.; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Rickens, Worthington, Mrs. Ignatz Augustine, Geddes, S.D., and Mrs. Frank Vaske, Bancroft; and two granddaughters.
His wife and one daughter preceded him in death.∼
