Funeral Friday for Mrs. Fred Schneider, Sr., 78
Was One of the Early Settlers Who Came Her From Russia
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon for Mrs. Fred Schneider, age 78, who died at her home in the Milberger area Tuesday morning.
The services will be held at the Deines Brothers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with services from the Lutheran Church in Milberger following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frese will be in charge of the services and burial will be in the Milberger Cemetery.
One of the original settlers from Russia who settled in Russell County, Mrs. Schneider was born at Eckheim, Russia, on Sept. 2, 1871. She came to this country with her parents in 1876. Her parents settled in the Milberger community and she lived there until her death. Her husband preceded her in death about four years ago.
Mrs. Schneider is survived by three sons, Emanuel, of La Junta, Colo., Ted of the home and Herman, of Wichita and two daughters, Mrs. Joe Ernest and Mrs. Adam Deines, both of Russell. Also surviving are two brothers, Fred Keil living in Colorado and Victor Keil, of Milberger and two sisters, Mrs. Dave Steinert living near Galatia and Mrs. Dolly Tittel, of Bazine.

Susanna Kath. Keil Schneider died Febraury 8, 1949, age 77 years 5 months and 6 days of "sugar diabetes".
