George Keil Dies
J. George Keil, who has been farming on the Sheriff Sellens farm, south of Russell, died Wednesday following a two months illness. He had been in the hospital at Great Bend. Mr. Keil's wife passed way just a few months ago. Mr. Keil was born January 1, 1873 in Russia. He came to this country in 1901, locating at Topeka. He came to Russell County in 1905. He was married to Katherine Elizabeth Ringler in Russia in 1892. To this union ten children were born, the following surviving: Dave, John, Phillip, George, Alex, Reuben and Herman. One brother lives in Topeka and another in Russia. Funeral services will be held this coming Sunday at the Michaelis Church. George Keil was a hard working man, a good farmer and a true neighbor. Many friends will regret his death and sympathize with his sons.
