Betty married Anton Fettig in 1944. They worked the family farms and traveled around North Dakota working in small towns before they moved to the west coast in the fifties. They operated a gas station together for several years. After Anton became employed by Small Parts Manufacturing, Betty resumed her child-care calling as the Fettig household became a safe haven for many children. Betty and Anton had four children of their own – Linda, Tony, Cynthia and Tina. Anton passed away in 1976 and Betty never remarried. Her main focus and enjoyment was caring for and
supporting her family. There was always an open door and Betty never lost her enthusiasm for visits from family, friends and especially grand children.
Betty has been a parishioner of Holy Redeemer since 1972 where she worked and volunteered her time. She was well recognized for her involvement with the parish and school. She enjoyed the bowling league that she joined with her friends from the parish. Bowling was her hobby and she bowled in her 80s.
She never knew a stranger and everyone was welcomed in her home until the day she last left for the hospital. Betty is survived by her four birth children and countless others she has touched through her life.
