From his Obituary printed in the Harbor Beach times 17 Sep 1915:
"Died at his farm home in Sherman township Wednesday, September 8, 1915, Henry Klug. Deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, 2 November 1854, when about eighteen years of age he came to America settling first in Marquette in 1874 then he came to Sherman township and settled on a piece of land then covered with timber and started in to build himself a home and like many of the pioneers of this section he succeeded in clearing up and building up one of the finest farms in the township. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Antonia Wohlmann, to this union were born 14 children, eight sons and six daugthers, 12 of whom are now living, 11 being at his bedside when death came. About five weeks ago he suffered a paralytic stroke and though everything that could be done was done for him, he never rallied and passed peacefully away on the above date. He leaves to mourn their loss, wife and family, brothers and sisters and a host of friends by whom he will be greatly missed as he was loved and respected by all, as he always had a kind word and a helping had for all. The funeral was held from the home Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock, the service by his request being conducted by Rev. Thomas Rawson; interment in Rock Falls cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their time of sorrow."
