"Gerhard E. Keil
Russell - Gerhard E. Keil, 68, died Saturday, April 21, (1979), in Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born July 11, 1910, in Milberger, he married Elma Galliart, May 26, 1935, in Milberger. He was a retired farmer and employee of the city and was a resident here since 1962.
Keil was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Russell.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Keil, Mrs. Deloris Nuss and Mrs. Geraldine Counts, all of Russell; four brothers, Ernest of Temple, Texas; Hubert of Russell; Waldomar of KS City, Mo., and Melvin of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Galliart of Beaver and Mrs. Josephine Springer, Sr. of Hoisington, and five grandchildren.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Pohlman's Mortuary in Russell was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials to the church."

Gerhard Emanuel Keil, 68, died Saturday, April 21, (1979), at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
The son of Victor and Elizabeth (Popp) Keil, he was born July 11, 1910, at Milberger, and married Elma Marie Galliart, May 26, 1935, at Milberber. He spent his early life farming in the Milberger area. In 1962 they moved to Russell where he worked for the street department. He retired in 1974 as foreman of the Russell street department.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Rev. Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A memorial has been established to the church.
Surviving are the widow; three daughters Mrs. Leon (Carol) Keil, Mrs. Erlin (Deloris) Nuss and Mrs. Marion (Geraldine) Counts, all of Russell; four brothrs, Ernest Keil of Temple, Texas, Hubert H. of Russell, Waldomar of KS City, Mo., and Melvin of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Galliart of Beaver and Mrs. Ervin (Josephine) Springer, Sr., of Hoisington; and five grandchildren.
