JOHN ROLFES FUNERAL HELD THIS MORNING AT
ST. JOSEPH CHURCH
John Rolfes, 73, a lifelong resident of Stanton township, died Friday of a heart attack while visiting a daughter, Mrs. Vincent Dreckman of Le Mars.

Mr. Rolfes was born Nov. 7, 1887, on a farm in Stanton township. He was reared there and later operated the farm. He married Kate Grossman on June 18, 1912 at Le Mars. Mr. Rolfes was a member of the Holy Name society.

Survivers in addition to the daughter are three sons, Othmer of Primghar, Cletus of Sioux City and Kenneth of Le Mars; another daughter, Mrs. Cletus Vasek of Remsen; two brothers, Joseph of Le Mars and Frank T. of Akron: three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Helms of Dubuque, Mrs. Mary Peppersack of Seneca, Kan., and Mrs. Leo Langel of Le Mars; 23 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.D. Fisch officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Ludtke funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a granddaughter and three sisters.
