Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the St. John's Lutheran Church for Alexander Keil, age 40, who died Monday afternoon at the Russell hospital after an illness of three weeks.

Rev. Otto Matthias will officiate at the rites and the DeinesFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in theRussell Lutheran Cemetery. The service this afternoon will be preceded by a family service at the Deines Funeral Home at 1:30pm.

Mr. Keil was born in Russell March 3, 1909, the son of Mr. and Mrs.George Keil. He was united in marriage with the former Ella Deines April 19, 1931. An employee of Grant township, he became ill several weeks ago and was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center early this month, returning to Russell and entering the local hospital on Oct. 15. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church and the local Moose Lodge.

His survivors include his wife, Ella, four children, Leon A. and Mrs. Velda Nuss of Russell, and Kenneth and Darrell, of the home, and three brothers, John, Ruben and Herman, all of Russell.
