Ruben Keil, son of George J. and Elizabeth (Ringler) Keil, died Sept. 21, 1977, Russell city Hospital. Born June 27, 1912. Lifetime resident of Russell County. Reared and grew to manhood Sellens Creek neighborhood southeast of Russell. He married Alvina MILLER July 19, 1933, in Russell. Seven children; five survive. They lived on the family farm, later moved to Bunker Hill in 1960, moved to Russell. Association with State Highway Commission 17 years., retired due to failing health in 1968.
Survivors: widow, 2 daughters: Mrs. Arlena Bridges and Miss Mary Ann Keil, both Russell; 3 sons: Eugene R., Jerry L. and Gary L., all Great Bend; brother, Herman, Hoisington; 13 grandchildren; 1 stepgrandchild; l
great-grandchild. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sons and 5 brothers.
