RUSSELL - Benjamin 'Ben' Popp, Russell, 80, died August 11, 1991, in St.Francis Regional Hospital, Wichita. He was born June l, 1911, in northern Barton County, the son of Johann Phillip and Magdalena Boger Popp. He was a retired farmer, retired 1976 Kansas Power and Light since 1942, Russell, a member of St.John Lutheran Church. He married Marie EHRLICH on July 16, 1933 Barton County. She survives.
Survivors include: sons, Robert L., Russell; Dennis, Rapid City, S.D.; daughter: Sharon LaBelle, Byron, CA; brothers: Emil, Russell; Siegmund, and Herman, both of Hoisington; sisters: Pauline Maier, Ness City and Rachel Nuss, Russell; 6 grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at the church. Burial in church cemetery.
