Jacob J. "Jake" Heinen, 86, Kelly, Kansas
died Tuesday, September 5, 1995 at a
Seneca, Kansas nursing home.

He was born March 8, 1909, on a farm east
of Kelly, Kansas, the son of John and Anna
(Schurman) Heinen. He attended St. Bede's
School at Kelly, Kansas.

He married Marie C. Tappehorn on April 25,
1933, at Kelly, Kansas. She died August 3,
1995. Mr. Heinen also was preceded in death
by a infant son, Leon Victor Heinen, on
January 1, 1940.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Heinen,
Silver Lake, Kansas, James Heinen, Axtell,
Kansas and William Heinen, and Michael Heinen
both of Centralia, Kansas; and two
daughters, Mary Ann Heinen and Judith
Coates, both of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers
George Heinen, Seneca, Kansas, Raymond Heinen,
Golf, Kansas; three sisters Catherine
Sextro and Susanna Huerter, both of Seneca,
Kansas, and Marie Conley, Centralia,Kansas
15 grandchildren and a foster grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at
10:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 1995 at
St. Bede's Church at Kelly with burial at the
church cemetery.
