MURPHYSBORO -- Olivia Bertha Gannon, 94, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, in Murphysboro.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raddle, with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Murphysboro. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Ava. A rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gannon was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raddle and St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro. She was a member of Royal Neighbors and the St. Ann's Altar Sodality.

She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Jacob, to George Hellmer and Mary Margaret Miller Hellmer. She married Martin Gannon on Nov. 24, 1938, in Raddle. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2002.

Survivors include daughter, Marilyn Gannon of Murphysboro; sisters-in-law, Ruth Wright of Murphysboro, Josephine Treece of Bronson, Texas, Alice Gannon of Belleville, Mary Gannon of Chester and Wilma Shields of Murphysboro and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
