Yvonne Schmitt Younger, 75, of Nelson, MO, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at I-70 Community Hospital. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Heath Creek Cemetery south of Nelson. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and memorials may be made to an education fund for her grandsons. Born February 17, 1937, in Des Moines, IA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Schmitt and Edna Seuferer Schmitt. On October 14, 1972, in Sedalia, MO, she married Dale F. Younger, who survives of the home. Her career as a grade school teacher spanned over 30 years, with the last 29 years being employed at Sedalia School District 200. In addition to teaching, she worked a family business, Lazy Days RV Park and Restaurant, for 12 years at Marshall Junction. She was a member of Heath Creek Baptist Church and the Missouri State Teachers Association. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Melissa Younger-Loesing and husband Travis, and Sarah Younger-Moore and husband Nathan all of rural Nelson; six grandchildren: Kenny Dale Jones, Colton Loesing, Wyatt Loesing, Daniel Loesing, Elijah Loesing, and Kiko Ha; one brother, Richard Schmitt and wife Darlene of Pilot Grove, MO; five sisters: Sr. Donna Schmitt of Des Moines, IA, Mary Ann Dost of Savannah, GA, Connie Elliott of Pilot Grove, MO, Margaret Rielly and husband Jon of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Pauline Cunningham of Blackwater, MO; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy, Matthew Younger; three brothers, Joseph Schmitt, Robert Schmitt and Gerald Schmitt, as well as three infant siblings.
