Vina C. García, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 13, 2007.
Vina is the beloved wife to Polo M. García, married for 48 years.
Vina is also survived by her three loving daughters, Pauline C. Fritsch, Elisa Telles and her husband, Edwin and Rebecca Gauna and her husband, Philip, three brothers, Ernest C. Córdova and his wife, Stella, Leo C. Córdova and his wife, Bernie and Lele C. Córdova and his wife, Millie, seven grandchildren, Dominic and his wife, Samantha, Martín, Andre and his wife, Melanie, Vicente, Isaac, Antoinette and her husband, Maurice and Madeline, five great-grandchildren and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Vina was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachel Gauna, her parents, Porfino and Rebecca Córdova, sisters, Beaulah Sánchez and Alice Chávez, brothers, Mariano, Ruben, Sesario and Frank Córdova.
Vina was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the Choir at St. Anne Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart League and the Blue Army.
Visitation for Vina will be on Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Joe and Annette Cruz. Final visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father John. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dominic, Martín, Andre, Vicente, Isaac and Maurice. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Córdova, Porfie Chávez, Ernie Córdova and Leroy Jojola.
