FRANK E. CURFMAN, 79, died this morning at 3:15 at his home in Zullinger. He had been in failing health for several years and has been bedfast for over a year.
He was born at Hewitt's Crossroads, the son of the late Elmer and Isabelle (Ash) Curfman. Mr. Curfman has been a resident of Zullinger for 45 years.
Prior to his retirement 15 years ago he was employed at the Landis Tool Company.
Mr. Curfman was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Whetstone Bible Class.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie (Kaetzel) Curfman; son, the Rev. Paul Curfman, Northumberland; daughter, Mrs. Joseph Shively, Waynesboro; sisters, Mrs. Effie Beal, Baltimore; Mrs. Rena Tate, Mechanicsburg; brothers, Fred Curfman, Pikesville; John Curfman, Thurmont; also four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Poe Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Glenn L. Stahl. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 9 p.m.
