A memorial service will be held at Big Island Baptist Church in Deville Friday, April 3, 2009 from 6-8 pm.
Mrs. Woodruff loved working in her flower gardens and making beautiful flower arrangements. She was the loving mother of six children and a wonderful home maker. Her first and foremost love was the children, she was a house mother at the Masonic home in Alexandria, she also ran Grandma's House Day Care for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Vickie Cole; brothers Elliot, Leland, L.J.,Vermon, Nash, Cobb;sister,Dorothy Redwine
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Vida Townley, Shirley Paul, and brother Wayne Cole; and her children: Bill Woodruff and wife, Holly; Jim Woodruff and wife, Reneigh; John Woodruff and wife Karen; Ronnie Woodruff and wife Debbie; Mike Woodruff and wife Deborah of Tyler Texas; and Melissa Woodruff of Arkansas; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mrs. Woodruff, in her loving way, decided to donate her body to medical science so that our future care givers could expand their knowledge to better care for those left behind.
