"Henry Fred Rodick, 89, of Sedalia, founder and former owner of the National Engineering and Manufacturing Co., died Friday at a nursing home in Sedalia. Mr. Rodick founded the company in the 1930s at 5th and Wyandotte here before it moved to Sedalia. He retired in 1959. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Sedalia. He leaves six sons, Dick Rodick of Coral Gables, Fla., Robert Rodick of Littleton, Colo., Henry Rodick of Hot Springs, Ark., Fred Rodick of Arizona, Raymond Rodick of Leawood and Vernon Rodick of Sedalia; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Swenson of Kansas City, Mrs. Betty Tate of Atlanta, Mrs. Neilya Neighbors of Crescent City, Calif., and Mrs. Agnes Bass of Denver; a brother, Carl Rodick of Marysville, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rothlis-berger of Kansas City and Martha Hagedorn of Barnes, Kan.; 32 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Heckert Gillespie Chapel, Sedalia; burial in Crown Hill Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, April 15, 1979
