Hadda was my great-aunt. I found the following information through the recollections of my mother, and personal research.
It was a common practice among persons of Scandinavian descent to name a child after a deceased spouse, and Hadda was named for her father's first wife who had died. Hadda's middle name is after her mother.
Hadda was baptized on August 5, 1894, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tigerton, Wisconsin.
Hadda's cause of death was said to have been dropsy, an old term which could encompass different illnesses. Her half-brother Einer recalled that she may have died of pneumonia. She had been ill for four weeks prior to her death. Hadda was six years, 7 months and 28 days old when she died. She was buried on November 13 (according to the Evangelical Lutheran Church records).
