"Tullberg Rides again".
Carl Tullberg of Bismarck and formerly of Mott has the distinction of riding the same bicycle in three different parades over a period of fifty years, a record probably not held by any one else.

The first parade held in Mott was in 1907, the 25th Anniversary of Mott, in 1932 and at the 50th Anniversary, July 15, 1957. Carl rode in each of the parades on the same bicycle.

The Tullberg family are old timers of Mott having been here in the year 1907 when the county was organized. Carl and his brothers Alfred and Inor [Einer] lived here with their father until he went back to Wisconsin.

Carl was a partner of J. B.Smith in the grocery store business and also worked at the old Burns Mercantile Store. Carl and brother Alfred saw service in World War I having been called to the colors from Hettinger County.

Carl was married to Ella Bohn on June 17, 1924 at the Bohn home here in Mott and they are now residing in Bismarck. Alfred visited here just two weeks ago and at present is living at Albert Lea, Minnesota while Inor [Einer] lives at Santa Paula, California.
