OWENSBORO MESSENGER INQUIRER OBITUARY – 12/28/1971
Mrs. Margaret Marie Roberts, 48, of Evansville, IN, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday [February 27, 1971] at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born in West Louisville April 5, 1922, and lived in Evansville for the past six years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Evansville. Survivors include her husband, Owen E. Roberts; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny Ray of Owensboro, and Mrs. Donald R. Lett of Evansville; her mother, Mrs. Mary A. Knott of Owensboro; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mose Farmer of Pettit, and Mrs. Burtan Hines of Owensboro; three brothers, William A. Knott of Owensboro, Martin R. Knott of Kailua, HI, and James Knott of Joliet, IL. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church by Rev. Aloysius Powers, pastor. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Haley-McGinnis and Owensboro Funeral Home, where friends may call after 5 p.m. today.
