WILLIAM HENRY KNOTT, 76, died Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital following an illness of about four months. Mr. Knott was born in Meade County and was engaged in farming in the West Louisville Community until retirement. He was a member of St. Magdalen Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Alma Knott; three daughters, Mrs. Moses Farmer, Petit; Mrs. L. B. Hines and Mrs. Gene Roberts, both of Owensboro; three sons, James A. Knott, Wilmington, Illinois, Martin Raphael Knott, Honolula, Hawaii, and William A. Knott, Owensboro; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Proctor Knott, Browns Valley, and James Knott, Owensboro; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Barr, Reed, Ky., Mrs. Joseph Wilberdean, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Sherman Howard, Browns Valley, and Sister Rosalia, Mt. St. Joseph. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
