Jennie Knott Hines, 83, of Owensboro died there Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed working with houseplants. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Leslie Burton "Burt" Hines; three sons, Raymond Hines of Frankfort, Gerald Hines of Alpine, Calif., and Thomas Hines of Cincinnati; a daughter, Martha J. Ritchie of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Knott of Owensboro and Raphel Knott of Hawaii; and a sister, Lou Ella Farmer of Oakland, Calif. Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Catholic Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
