JOSEPH E. BRAUN

Joseph E. Braun, 74, of 1121 N. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo J. Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Whitelaw. Military graveside rites will be accorded Mr. Braun by American Legion Drews-Bieser Post No. 88

Mr. Braun was born Nov. 18, 1904 in Whitelaw, son of the late Frank and Margaret Grall Braun. He attended St. Michael Parochial School and farmed in the Whitelaw area for many years and later was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company. He married Sophie Zettel Feuerstein Nov. 17, 1951 in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death Oct. 22, 1978. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706, Freier Saengerbund, Whitelaw Senior Citizens, Holy Innocents Church and was a former choir member.

Survivors include a step-son, Robert Zettel and a step-daughter and step son-in-law, Carol and Jerome Hietpas of Manitowoc; a brother, Frank of Whitelaw; three sisters, Mrs. Quirin (Eleanore) Swetlik, Mrs. Elmer (Blance) Neuser of Manitowoc and Tillie Pakenham of Minneapolis, Minn., and 12 step grandchildren.

Friends may call in Parkside Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
