Edward C. Braun, 44, who operated a farm on Route 2, Two Rivers, and an employee of the Manitowoc Ship Building Company, Manitowoc, for a number of years, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. He had previously been afflicted with a heart ailment.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Edward Braun was born at Whitelaw in 1907, a son of the late Frank and Margaret Grail Braun. He lived on the whitelaw farm until 13 years ago when he acquired the farm in the town of Two Rivers.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Hablewitz, whom he married at Silver Lake in 1928, a daughter, Miss LaVern Braun at home and a son, Edward Braun Jr., of Shoto. He also leaves six sisters, Mrs. Clara Schuh of Kiel, Mrs. Margaret Zeman of Sheboygan, Mr. Querin Swetlik of Kellnersville, Mrs. Elmer Neuser of Silver Lake, Mrs. Arthur Zimmer of Route 2, Two Rivers, and Mrs. Paul Pakenham of Manitowoc; and three brothers, John of Route 1, Whitelaw, Joseph of Manitowoc, and Frank Braun of Whitelaw. For a number of years Mr. Braun had been a member of the Two Rivers council, Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of St. Luke Church.
Friends may call at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:46 p.m. Tuesday.
